Ramblings and More
We had a wonderful weekend. Not as busy as most tend to be and that was a nice for a change of pace. On Friday, we went to a friends for dinner. All I have to say was it was EXCELLENT! Our friend went all out and prepared tomatoes with fresh basil and balsamic vinaigrette, grilled steak, grilled Alaskan Salmon (in honor of our upcoming move to Alaska), baked sweet potatoes, oven roasted asparagus, sautéed spinach, and topped it with berries and chocolate for desert! The company was wonderful too!
Saturday was pretty quiet too. Hubby reseeded the bare patches in the backyard and I cleared the shelves of books we no longer need. Our eldest child went to work, one child went to a friend's for the afternoon, hubby took the 3 remaining oldest to Sea World, and the 3 littles played and watched a movie. Dinner, baths, and bedtime followed and hubby and I were able to sit together and watch a movie ourselves.
Sunday, as always, was another wonderful day of worship. Hubby was however on call so he left early Sunday morning and just came home just this morning.
Today looks to be another beautiful day! Now for some other news.
Over the weekend I had one of my posts highlighted and added to the great resources at Noble Womanhood. This is such an amazing honor and I am so thankful to the Lord for allowing me to touch the lives of others. Take some time and explore their site.
Apparently several others were touched by that post also, Praise be to God! I am always so thankful when the Lord takes my meager abilities to speak to others! Here are the links to the others who have highlighted this particluar post and their take on this issue.

Here is my weekly update for the Moms of Many Exercise Challenge.
I TOTALLY blew it this week and didn't do a darn thing except run up the stairs. I hope to do better this week.
Today I am also blogging over at Weekend Kindness. I am sharing a bit about how the Lord is the one to build a home and how the blessings and wonders of parenthood Never Grow Old.
This week I was also tagged for the 7 Random Facts meme.
I was tagged by Vanessa, Sandy, TF, & Tracy! I have done several of these but realize that it might be good for some of my newer friends and readers to get to know me a little bit better. Here are four previous posts that have quirky, serious, interesting, and not so interesting facts about me. I am not however going to tag anyone this time around.

Exercise Challenge Week #3
Another week, another post about our exercise goals and progress. I had another great idea!! I know how I could exercise with very little effort and exhaustion on my part. It would be ideal!! What do you think??I could buy one of these machines.
I ended up opting out of that idea and just sticking to my routine from last week. It is more effective by far, much less expensive, and far less stupid looking!

Exercise Challenge Week #2
I started this Moms of Many Exercise Challenge last week. We are supposed to post on our progress every Monday for accountability. So first......- I exercised my brain by trying to figure out how to get out of this.
- When I started this, I came kicking and screaming! Kicking is exercise right??
- I thought that maybe I could just sit here blogging and use the thigh master! Oh wait, I gave that stupid thing to Goodwill!!
- Blogging is exercise right? Lots of exercise for the fingers, but I figured that didn't count either.
- I thought about uncovering that elliptical in the garage, but I do not want it in the kitchen area and it is too much of a workout for hubby to carry it upstairs which is the only place I would want to put it.
The Lord brought a verse to mind as I was contemplating how to begin with this exercise challenge. The verse is Proverbs 31:17.
Proverbs 31:17 She girds herself with strength And makes her arms strong.Since this verse was brought to mind over and over again, I decided this would be a good place to start. My main focus is on strengthening my arms. So this is what I did last week.
- Lifting weights with dumbbells using four different exercises/positions to work the different parts of the arms.
- Squats
- Sit-ups
- I am also making a point of going upstairs myself for things that I need rather than sending a child to do it. More stair climbing.
Leave me a comment and tell me about your exercise regime!

Exercise?? Who Me???
THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH IS TO BE READ WITH HUMOR!!!There is a little rumor floating around the blogosphere that I would like to dispel. The rumor is that I am responsible, in part, for this exercise thing. Ummm, I hate exercise! So this is a warning out there to all of you, be careful what you post in a comment it may just implicate you in something you were not expecting. I left a nice and what I thought was an innocent comment over on Becca's blog and she ran with it! What is with that??? All I did was ask her if she was issuing a challenge and then she goes and does issue one! She says I was issuing a challenge to issue a challenge. Really, really I wasn't!!! **GRIN**Okay, that paragraph was ALL in fun!!!! You know, Becca makes a great point in her post concerning this exercise challenge. The following is a small excerpt.
All you Moms of Many out there.....we need to stay in shape! God's blessings are many, but that doesn't mean we get to sit back and do nothing. We have to work FOR them and because of them. ;-) Not only do we get to deal with poopy diapers, spit-up, potty training, and sleep deprivation, but also bodies that start sagging. As we get older - believe me, I know what I'm talking about here - the toll on our bodies starts to add up. We can't allow ourselves to get to the point to where another pregnancy slows us down if it doesn't have to.If you would like to join in, you can grab the code for the button HERE , sign the Mr. Linky, and leave a comment. We can hold each other accountable by posting each Monday, letting us know your progress.
So all you moms of many who frequent here, are you going to join us in the Moms of Many Exercise Challenge????
