- You might have noticed I have been a bit random in doing memes lately. I have moved to doing whichever one comes the easiest at the time rather than sticking to them on a regular basis. Sorry about that but right now easiest is the best.
- I had my first OB appointment yesterday but it is still too early and we did not hear a heart beat yet. I will have to wait until next time.
- I have an ultrasound scheduled for May 12th!
- They are going to finish resurfacing our street today. It is a good thing I am not going anywhere!
- I have to finish filling out a mortgage application. I do not know how we are going to qualify for enough for the size of a home we need, have you seen the prices for a 5-6 bedroom in the Anchorage area??? Ouch! It is double than what we pay here! We may end up having to rent!
- 68 days until we pull out of town and head to Alaska.
- One month until I head to the midwest to visit my parents and siblings.
- I am still dealing with morning sickness and feeling a bit crummy but I am hoping it passes in the next couple of weeks.
- I cannot wait to move somewhere without the big nasty Texas bugs that are creeping into my house!
- Only 3 more weeks and we are finished with Sunday evening programs and AWANA.
- Only 4 more weeks of piano.
- We only have 2 out of our 6 spring birthdays left to celebrate which is good because we are running out of money with that many birthdays!
- Randomness is the state of this pregnant lady's mind and you are stuck with it for the next 7 months! If I can get anything coherent out then I am doing pretty well!

Good luck on your move. Do they not have housing for you in Alaska - or is it just that the base housing isn't large enough? When I lived in Germany there was a family of eight children that occupied the temporary quarters permanently because they were so large.

Yep, that housing thing in Alaska can be a problem. It has always been expensive to live there.
Looking forward to the ultra sound and a healthy happy new addition.
Have a great TT - At April 24, 2008 4:24 PM, Mommy Reg said...

I love the randomness! I haven't been as consistent as I used to be either. Life is making it that way for me. I hope you find something in Alaska that works for you.

Best wishes on your move to Alaska! I lived there for several years. (This summer, beware of the "state bird" mosquitos- they're ornery!)
I'm really enjoying your blog.
Blessings,
Michele :)

At least in Blogland, I don't have to say goodbye with your move. I'm so excited for you and your family. The Lord will have great things for you to do there!!!

Kristine - the base housing at EAFB is really nice if you are offered a duplex and not a town house. I thought they would work for us and we had 9 at home while we lived there. The problem was when we got there the duplex were FGO only but now they are CGO/FGO.
Also - you will get a nice COLA and your BAQ will be much higher than in TX......we found a nice home that fit our family of 11 on what we were allowed.....and it had over 1/2 an acre with a creek running through our backyard - Eagle River.
