Book Tag
I have been tagged by Lisa @ Lifestyle Education Discipleship.

Here’s the rules for this book tag:
  1. Pick up the nearest book of at least 123 pages.
  2. Open the book to page 123.
  3. Find the 5th sentence.
  4. Post the next 3 sentences.
  5. Tag 5 people.
The nearest book that I grabbed actually has 1200 pages! I kid you not! It is the Encyclopedia of Christian Quotations. So I went to page 123, found the 5th sentence. Here are the next 3 sentences.
Because of lack of fortitude and faithfulness on the part of God's people, God's word has many times been allowed to be bent, to conform to the surrounding, passing, changing culture of that moment rather than to stand as the innerant Word of God judging the form of the world spirit and the surrounding culture of that moment.
Francis A. Schaeffer

No public man in these islands ever believes that the Bible means what it says; he is always convinced that it says what he means.
George Bernard Shaw

I would sooner a hundred times over be inconsistent with myself than be inconsistent with the Word of God.
C.H. Spurgeon
Here is the list of those I am tagging. I’d like to know what you are reading. So please comment back here after you’ve posted your tag, so I know.

How fun. So I posted my book tag but it isn't on the Mommyhood Adventures site. Instead because of the book I happened to pick up, it is on the Mommyhood Essential site. Here is the post. Book Tag Post
I love those quotes. I am sure no matter where you opened there would be something good. Have a great day.

Thanks for playing along. That's 2 out of 2 returns on Schaeffer quotes. Good stuff. I Love the Spurgeon one too.

Now I know what you spend your time reading. :-)

I finally posted.

Sorry it was a bit slow in coming. I'm a mess this week. Not sick yet, thankfully, but my head is just not working with me.

The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing; but in our culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture." ~ Doug Phillips
