Luke 11:13. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Since He is our father and we are His children, we can trust in His goodness and come before Him with confidence.
Romans 8:15. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Let us examine ourselves, how do we approach our Father in heaven? It should with confidence but also with the doting eyes of a child upon their loving father who disciplines us, teaches us, provides for us, comforts us, and also blesses beyond measure.

I had a conversation last night about something similar to this post - it's amazing how different people view the Lord. Your scriptures are perfect to back up my belief... it's the Word of God. I love how special we are to Him.

Our lesson today in Suncay School (Bible Study) was the 145th Psalm. David had a very clear understanding of who God was and his relationship to the Lord.
It is a common thread that runs through scripture. Obviously Luke and certainly Paul had a similar understanding. - At January 6, 2008 6:29 PM, DrillerAA said...
