The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.My husband and I are people of strong conviction. Conviction has been placed there by the Lord. We strive in all that we do to bring glory to Him. This does not mean that we do not fail and fall into sin. All of us do. We are a fallen race and are saved by the grace of God alone. When we fall, we acknowledge our sin, repent, and if possible perform acts of repentance. Even when we fail, He remains faithful.
Galatians 5:22-23
If we are faithless, He remains faithful— for He cannot deny himself. 2 Timothy 2:13
In the past couple of years God has been moving us and revealing to us more and more of His truth. As we have applied these truths to our lives we have endured many trials. The more we transform our lives to the pattern God has set for us the more distinctive we become. This is the way it should be. In James we are told trials and temptations will come, but we must persevere. Continuing to hold fast, to persevere, is being faithful. It is faithfulness.
FA'ITHFULNESS, n.My husband and I have found that when we are faithful to the truth He shows us in His word and confirms by the Holy Spirit; we may have to endure persecution for a time but the blessings when we persevere are abundant. This was made so evident in our life, even today. When we are resolved to be faithful to the Lord blessings abound.
1. Fidelity; loyalty; firm adherence to allegiance and duty; as the faithfulness of a subject.
2. Truth; veracity; as the faithfulness of God.
3. Strict adherence to injunctions, and to the duties of a station; as the faithfulness of servants or ministers.
4. Strict performance of promises, vows or covenants; constancy in affection; as the faithfulness of a husband or wife.
Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

Yay! Thank-you for participating! I saw your comment over at Heart of Wisdom. I think I'm going to make a point of meditating on faithfulness some more today since it keeps coming up.

Wow. Someone like me!!! Praise God! It seems the more we take a stand for Jesus and what His word says, the more critique and trials we endure. It is through those trials that we are reminded that we are doing what is right and true. God's ways are not our ways and not for us to understand. We just simply need to obey and not conform. Thank you for sharing this post - I know it is hard because of the backlash you can sometimes receive in comments.
I believe I will share this post with my husband. Shoot, I have forwarded so many of your posts, I think I need to make a "Mama Archer Book Of Encouragment" for my home. :)
