Ironic Isn't It?

This country was built on a foundation of religious belief and conviction. In fact, there is no mention of "separation of church and state" in the U.S. Constitution or any other founding documents; however, the propaganda of many liberals today have people believing it is indeed found within. The phrase "separation church & state" is actually located in a letter written by Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Association in 1802. Jefferson's reply did not address their concerns about problems with state establishment of religion - only of establishment on the national level. What the Constitution actually states is that the government is not to establish a state religion and protect religious freedom.
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Today, there has been so much effort to remove any semblance of religion from the public arena that it has indeed established a new state religion. Ironic isn't it? What is the new state religion that has been established you asked? Atheistic Humanism. What is a religion but a system of faith that governs how we relate to the divine and the world around us; how we think about life, how we act and live. It is a statement of our beliefs. Even the atheist has a faith; it is a belief that says there is no God. We can have nothing in this world apart from some sort of faith. We all will believe something. Trying to remove all views of God from the public eye has created another god in its place, that being man.
The founding fathers never intended for God to be absent from the public arena or even from government, many of their quotes support this. We all have the freedom to believe what we want...Christians have been forced to accept any and all other beliefs. Sometimes the non-religious (atheist) need to accommodate the religious.

Finally, someone who knows the truth!!! You are so right about the separation of church and state. If people who just do a little research, read the actually constitution and about our founding fathers... they would know! Instead, everyone listens to everyone and forms their opinions on what was said - not fact. I'm so thankful that the Bible is the best history book. Thanks for sharing today.

I think this is also one reason why children in government schools are not being taught much about the founding fathers or what they stood for and why so many try to drudge up any and all dirt on them that they can find! No one has ever said the founding fathers were perfect but they had a good view of God!
Thanks for stopping by today!

The Bible calls debt a curse and children a blessing; but in our culture, we apply for a curse and reject blessings. Something is wrong with this picture." ~ Doug Phillips
