Day of Rest
Genesis 2:1-3
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.
Today was a wonderful day of worship. We were able to attend a church of our choosing this morning, which is a rare occurrence with my husband being in ministry. We typically attend where he serves. This morning we were able to attend Christ Church a CREC church.
It was a refreshing time.
Then we came home for lunch and had some great theological discussion with our children. Then most of the family took a greatly needed nap! God definitely knew that we would need this day of rest to refresh, renew, and recharge. I praise Him for providing that for us on this Lord's Day.
