Here are some things that make this program unique.
- Shurley uses a question and answer flow to determine the parts of speech, there are specific queations to which help them identify the different parts of a sentence.
- Shurley uses jingles which define the parts of speech and teach how to find them within a sentence. I find my children singing these and it is a reinforcement of what they have learned every time they sing it.
- Repetition is used to master each concept taught but there is also daily practice of old skills

I was skimming through the site...my daughter is currently doing kindergarten...is this something good to start next year, for first grade?
