He [God] watched over me before I knew him, and before I learned sense or even distinguished between good and evil, and he protected me, and consoled me as a father would his son.—Saint Patrick (415-c.461)'Tis the season for parades, green beer, shamrocks, and articles talking about why St. Patrick's day isn't all about parades, green beer, and shamrocks, but who was the real St. Patrick?

My neighbor (another homeschool mom) told me that Irish Protestants wore orange; only Irish Catholics wore green. (I only wear green to avoid getting pinched!) That is a part of St Patrick's Day history I had never heard before.
I guess "ethnically" I'm more green than orange anyway. he hee. - At March 19, 2007 10:52 AM, MamaArcher said...
